Tobey Maguire Kicked Out Of Spider-Man 4

It's the end of Tobey Maguire's career as Spider-Man. The director Sam Raimi has also been kicked out of the production of the 4rth Spider-Man movie. Sony Pictures released a statement on Monday, according to media reports.



The Los Angeles Times has reported that "Sony Pictures and Marvel Studios announced that a new Spider-Man film would debut in the summer of 2012 with a new cast and filmmaking team."

Sam Raimi, the director of the previous three Spider-Man films, told media, "Working on the 'Spider-Man' movies was the experience of a lifetime for me. While we were looking forward to doing a fourth one together, the studio and Marvel have a unique opportunity to take the franchise in a new direction, and I know they will do a terrific job."

Sony said it would have more news about the new Spider-Man movie, which will be based on a script by James Vanderbilt and focus on Peter Parker in high school, in the coming weeks.
